While seniors across America have a broad range of political opinions, most of us share a deep allegiance to the United States Constitution and the Rule of Law. Now both are under threat.

We have fought to make America a better country for those who need care. Yet basic protections like Social Security, Medicaid and SNAP are threatened.

We have fought for a just America, yet respect for so many of us is under threat.

What can we do to protect our legacy? How do we remind those who are younger than us of that this can be again be a country that values its citizens’ rights and their welfare?

Standing on a street corner for one hour every week or so, we can witness the best of who we have been and can be.

We can be heard.

We will be heard.
