While seniors across America have a broad range of political opinions, most of us share a deep allegiance to the United States Constitution and the Rule of Law. Now both are under threat.
We have fought to make America a better country for those who need care. Yet basic protections like Social Security and Medicaid are threatened.
What can we do to protect our legacy? How can remind those who are younger than us of the extraordinary privilege of living in a country that values respect for its citizens’ rights and welfare?
We can get a bunch of us together on a nearby street for one hour every week and protest the high-handed, uncaring and probably unconstitutional policies of the new administration. We will be heard.
